TRUMPS CLASSIC- CORPORATISM APPROACH
The corporatist model does not like financial shenanigans, despises globalism, and thrives in Mercantilist situations.
BIDEN IS IMPLEMENTING TRUMPS CLASSIC CORPORATISM APPROACH
Covid Complexity Collapse » Mercantilism » Corporatism The Anti-Goldilocks concept is still very much in play and things are panning out more and more as we feared/ hoped:
Fed is brakes, Fiscal is gas now
Inflationary headwinds now replace deflationary tailwinds from Goldilocks era
Economy is retooling from Finance to manufacturing reversing what happened after the 1970’s 4Certain industries will be subsidized fiscally while everyone suffers monetarily.
This is part and parcel of what used to be called a traditional “corporatist” model. Most of what you will read about it online is negative due to Fascism’s scars. But it has a place in economics and is a necessary “3rd way” when free markets are killed and socialism isn’t working.
Corporatism comes in many forms. The worst is Fascism. The best is the USA during the industrial revolution.
It is not pro-union or pro-labor, but will side with and appease labor against banks and bureaucracy.
The corporatist model does not like financial shenanigans, despises globalism, and thrives in Mercantilist situations. One can look at Japan’s Keiretsu in the 1980s this way somewhat.
But Corporatism exists for a reason as a 3rd choice developed when free markets are compromised and socialism hasn’t worked. It is very similar to what is currently succeeding in Asia.
Corporatism has been a key part of national mindsets during periods of great industrial prosperity. It is also a logical reaction to collapsing complexity and consistent with a more conservative monetary regime… like Gold, Silver, and Bitcoin The irony? Donald Trump is a corporatist. They hate him, but everything he wanted to do is being done, just without his name on it. And without the American pride part.. notice how they are a avoiding patriotism outright
