Q2’24 reporting in the precious metals space is set to accelerate this week. Among our coverage, New Gold (NGD) is scheduled to report on July 30th (after market close (AMC)), followed by Endeavour Mining (EDV) on July 31st (before market open (BMO)). Agnico Eagle Mines (AEM), Alamos Gold (AGI), Kinross Gold (KGC), and SSR Mining (SSRM) all report on July 31st (AMC), followed by Centerra Gold (CG) on August 1st (AMC). The first week of Q2’24 earnings was mixed with Newmont (NEM) underperforming despite solid results, perhaps on asset sale impatience, and Eldorado Gold (EGO) outperforming after on a lower-quality non-operating earnings beat, perhaps on low expections in advance.
