Did Circle Just Launch Gold and Silver Tokens?
Market Rumor: Circle-Linked Tokenized Gold and Silver Platform Surfaces
Unverified reports circulating in digital asset circles suggest that a platform branded as Circle Metals may be preparing a tokenized precious metals offering linked to USDC. The site, circlemetals.com, has appeared online, prompting speculation that Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, could be exploring tokenized gold and silver products as part of a broader real-world asset strategy.
According to the unconfirmed narrative, the platform would allow users to swap USDC for tokenized gold and silver instruments at live market prices, with liquidity modeled on COMEX reference markets. The rumored products, sometimes referred to as GLDC and SILC, are described as on-chain representations of precious metal exposure designed for institutional and developer use.
No official confirmation has been issued by Circle, and the company’s pressroom, regulatory filings, and executive communications contain no reference to a tokenized precious metals launch. The domain in question is not linked from Circle’s official web properties, and no Tier-1 financial or crypto media outlets have reported on the product.
The concept itself would align directionally with Circle’s publicly stated ambition to position USDC as a universal settlement layer capable of supporting tokenized real-world assets. Circle has previously expanded into tokenized money market funds, but precious metals have not yet been formally included in its disclosed product lineup.
At present, the situation remains unresolved. The appearance of the website could represent an early-stage internal beta, a third-party project using Circle branding without authorization, or a speculative placeholder ahead of a future announcement. Until formal confirmation is provided by Circle or corroborated by reputable sources, the story should be treated strictly as market rumor.

It looks really scammy to me. All of the documentation links go back to the main website. I would NOT interact with that at all since you may have loss of funds. I hope I’m wrong but be careful to examine contracts before approval.
Yes branding is right and it looks official but Circle doesn’t do rewards. Why start now?
