Housekeeping: Out of pocket today. Haven’t even gotten to the CFTC yet. Will say this however, The CFTC data is getting less and less relevant. That’s not to say it is worthless at all, but these positions are against sales on Asia now. What I’m saying is: The Comex is where Bullion banks go to BTFD now after they sell it to Shanghai lunatics. They have become like us!

We need the Shanghai data, and I’m working on that. Comex is NOT the only game in town anymore.. See a bonus at bottom to give you an idea of how important shanghai is now.

Directionally: I’ll punt an idea tonight….. Higher tonight gets us more action by China to stop domestic speculation. From my POV, this is clearly China trying to get price down so they can buy it again. They did versions of this for years in domestic copper and iron ore. its capital controls pure and simple… But there are several players on the bid now

China Solar Industry Space Race

This time they are doing it to buy metal for their industry in sure. And if rumors I’m hearing are true (just gossip/rumors mind you!!) from an industrialist over there) they are looking to build solar panels in space.. which makes it more clear now. Something like the Soviets wanted to do years ago and tested successfully in the late 1980s. Mind you I used to obsess about this (I studied it day and night) in the early 1990’s. This thing was called the Znamya Proejct and the idea then was to use Solar to reflect light in the dark on crops.. goofy but it worked.

The idea now is to store solar energy 24 hours a day. I mean.. why else would Elon make that comment a couple weeks ago? LOL
