Bottom line. QE is bonds, RMPs are short dated. He’s doing a yield curve play to stabilize 10 year rates. He’s buying the house down the block ( down the yield curve) hoping to prop up his house. If that doesn’t work, he’ll move out further on the curve…. there is nothing bearish about this.
