Yesterday, due to previous PTSD events as the memory of past buy seasons, we did nothing and regret it—but not enough to do something stupid today (please?).
Gold continues to absorb new year investment flows. Stocks and Gold started the day up. Stocks tanked, and Gold did not. THAT’S THE NEW REALITY. Can they both tank again? Sure, but in a deflationary crisis now, not in the current regime. That means Gold is not monetary policy related buying, although that would help. It also means there is at least for now, significant rotation into something that is perceived to be less volatile than stocks (other than bonds) by investors stateside… Rally.. where else are they going to go? Cash.. sure.. but Gold benefits
