Hello. This Sunday, after the COT report (recorded for Premium post) , we will be discussing Options for a Founders video
The first class will be to feel out the attending crowd’s level of knowledge (beg/intermed/expert) and explore some very basic but intrinsically key concepts for future sessions. If it goes well we can do more of these.
At the highest level we will discuss:
What options are
What you think you know
What you know
What you want to know
GREEKS: Delta.
The first session goal is to find out attendee knowledge-base for optimal teaching. Optimal does not mean boring for those of you who understand options more than most.
It will be interactive.- if that’s not your thing (no sweat) don’t attend, just watch the video later… nobody is going to embarass or belittle anybody 1
The video will be recorded and made available to Founders afterwards.
Your face will *not* be in the final video shared- your voice may be.
Questions are very encouraged- helps figure out the path
It wont be a monologue - thank goodness
It will be a mix of academic and practical- and real
There will be war stories eventually if it helps drive the point
Anything in the textbook is fair game to discuss if there is consensus among attendees once we get to a workable level
The whole class is based on the teaching method used on me and then refined to teach approximately 30 (non MBA student) people options theory; most of whom went on to trade for my firm and had successful careers with me and then on their own.
There is a lot that can be done over time if people get acclimated and are willing. There will be gambling, odds setting, and mocktrading
We used to call these “melonhead” classes back in the day. The vibe was very similar to an immersion culture (HeartbreakRidge, Liars Poker type stuff).. complete with hazing…..but it’s not anymore.. we’re all adults.. sort of.
