Awesome article... It's weird that the Major Banks around the world would set up Vaults around the world in advance. And quietly try to drain the physical off the exchanges to their personal vaults. Sounds like a conspeircy... šŸ˜† Get'im VBL

Great piece. As for the location of refiners, there is a competing cost factor that pushes refiners towards being closer to supply, and that cost factor is logistics. Unrefined materials are bulkier and heavier, thus cost more to transport than refined materials. Security of supply should outweigh the costlier logistics of bigger bulks to move refiners closer to demand. So I am really curious how Metalor can remain economically competitive by refining in Singapore (?)

The newer refinerys seem to be for re-refining local metal into bars with better specs.

There is a mine or 2 in Saudi Arabia as well

Tjere is a lot of gold in old form.

China specs are different, and while LBMA bars are accepted, there are older ones not I think
