Almost all of the national leagues. I admit a couple problems because of the mustaches back then. The hardest ones were American League West pitchers. However, the American League, I can probably only name five of them tops. Rid Carew Raleigh fingers and a couple others. We just did not see American League baseball growing up and fill Philadelphia.
I can remember the 1970's inflation very well, food got very expensive. I recall being told that we as a family couldn't afford the high price of beef, even ground beef for hamburgers got expensive. We ate pasta with beans twice a week for many months, I thought it was great, my parents, every adult they knew, didn't like the experience of suddenly being made to feel very poor, very quickly.
Very appreciated your personal account of the 70's inflation from Philadelphia. My memory of it in a Midwestern factory town and its marked negative effects plus a friend's hard money philosophy - he was a joint Dines/North subscriber as I became later with Dines, spurred me to grow then maintain a 30-35% position in physical gold and silver that provided a smooth high altitude flight over the 2008 crash - with assistance from a Freddie Mac Leap Put and full cash posture. With what's very likely ahead, the risk of depository fraud and eventual capital controls will rise accordingly. Suggesting this item as future subject matter for risk mitigation recommendations.
For Extra credit --- how many Baseball players can you name? 😉
Let me try…

what happened to your family, if not to personal?
Family businesses, including my own family’s, collapsed serially over the next 8 years and families, like my own, were torn apart.
